Ajax/RM: couldn't put two teams going in completely opposite forms in the competition if they tried. Ajax performed spectacularly in the early stages but have been realing since selling off some their stars and getting hammered in their subtier home league. This line is one of the more baffling lines I've seen this week as I think anyone with a birds eye view would make Real Madrid -200. The only reasons I can see for this is Real Madrid I believe are playing their 3rd straight road game including major rivalry games against barcelona and athletic within 1 week. There is a solid chance RM might be looking to collect a handful of away goals get home to rest. However, nothing of their recent form indicates this is their mindset and the talent on the opposing side wod likely meet relegation in LaLiga. Personally I think the safe play is Real Madrid over 1.5 goals but I will also have some stake in RM -1 as well.

Tottenham/Dortmund: Spurs have played extremely poor competitors in EPL the past few weeks and have made the most of it despite missing one of their 2 stars in each game. They've been a defensive team but not sure they've faced a pressing attack with the likes of Dortmund. The Bundesliga leaders have been giving up goals even when they are not playing so hard to see how they keep Tottenham out of the net. The over 2.5 seems most reasonable bet here but I honestly staying away unless someone else has a better angle. I would like Tottenham tt over 1.5 if Kane were playing but not sure how you could trust them w/o him. I know they've played well in his absence but look who they played. Any thoughts?

Yeah the contrarian plays today are Ajax +0.5 and under, also under in Tottenham, only play I feel good about is real Madrid goals but just looked at the odds on outcomes and 1-1 draw if lowest prices at +620, while 2-1 is +695 which makes zero sense. I don't see how Ajax can park the bus against Real Madrid when the just put up 3 goals at Atletico Madrid.

the more I look at this I see value in grabbing Madrid 1H.

I don't have access to bet365 or another book that offers 1H -1 line but if you can get RM -1 1H at +400 or even -1.5 1H +500s I like it.

RM can get up early and then pack it in for second half, thus opening the door to grab Ajax at a nice price to come back 2nd half.

Either way if you are taking g Madrid full game I'd be looking to hedge if they grab a nice lead

Yep. To the people don't be thinking this was a lucky win for Real when they do advance and bet against them in the next round based on this game. Ajax is just that good and underrated on the international stage. Ajax slapped Bayern around twice but couldn't get the win in the end. Just like today.
