Plus when you have half of the 30 teams that are not looking to win, the market goes way down. There are a handful of teams that could pay 25-30 mill per, with a competitive roster, and they simply won’t go ten years.

Players hate spring training. Both Harper and Machado are purposely delaying their decision in order to avoid having a full spring. I wouldn't be surprised if deals are already done with an understanding that they won't be inked right away (to avoid spring ball). These guys know what they are doing.

@OP you should not feel bad for him. He has already had life changing offers. He is greedy. Name a player that has shown his worth of a 10 yr contract. No one. It’s a pure money grab. Owners are getting smart. Besides mike trout and a few others, top phenoms coming out each season are outperforming a lot of these expensive contract players.

Machado and him in my opinion are also both assholes in character especially machado. This is coming from an orioles fan. I would not want either on my team, especially for north of 200M.
