At the halfway point the Islanders are leading their division and sitting at 63 points. My book has their futures bet at +1500 still. Does that leap out as value or dead money? I do not follow hockey at all.

Both Pens and Caps are still much less value in a future, so are the Islanders just smoke and mirrors. Keep me from blowing 100$ on this future please.

the +1500 number would be to win the Eastern Conference...Their Cup price is mid +2000's

They would be underdogs in the second and third rounds of the playoffs. You are probably better off just parlaying the series price come playoff time.

No this is the number to win the cup. Looking at other books now I see that it’s regularly around +2400 and +800 or so to win the East.

Yeah good choice. Maybe if they were in the west it would be good value but the east is too strong.
