Book best have this passed by their lawyers as you refund this, your going to be expected to refund the next blown/missed call by officials. Arbitrarily refunding will end them up in civil court at some point unless they dont take over $500 sides.

No, they are fine, if anybody tries to sue, the book can simply refer to the rules of betting and cannot lose. It is at the book's sole discretion when they wish to go against their rules as a goodwill gesture like they are doing here.Nobody with any common sense would expect the book to do this very often, this is just a publicity stunt to try and gain new customers.

Their "karma patrol" says otherwise. I think they plan to make this part of their marketing budget and refund wagers when crazy things happen. It's also neat that they pay out hockey when a team starts of 2 goals to 0. Definitely some good promotions going on with this book and they have low vig/reduced juice on lots of offerings.

They gonna refund everyone for betting Patriots when LAR somehow gets a call for SB? For this POS team to even make it to a SB, they'll win it.

"PointsBet did not say how much the refunds will cost the company."

my guess is this won't cost them much considering no one bets at this sorry ass book.

Well they are the newest book in Jersey so they are going for the exposure. And since they almost certainly take less action than the other Jersey books, this could turn out to be a win/win.

NOLA had every chance to win that game and blew a plethora of spots and are sitting here and firing up the excuse train... have a little pride why won't ya.
What about the phantom TO that gave the Rams 2 3rd downs? NO wins the game if they call PI. 98% chance and the NFL was not going to allow that.

This. I wish I was in Jersey. I love betting action points. Hopefully they stick around.
