Uber drivers do make $200 a day in major cities.. Gotta have a Prius hybrid that is in good condition that passes UBER inspection here in LA to really make it work and profit. I know people that have tried it, tenants of mine that were looking for a change and be their own boss.

I personally couldn't drive for 8 hours a day sitting on my assss and picking up drunks all night long. I can't stand 5 minutes in traffic let alone 8 hours a day in traffic. I'd go nuts..

I get the gig though if you are strapped for money and wanna be your own boss..

To be honest, its actually fun sometimes. I do it probably 3-4 weekend nights a month and its cool all the people you meet. Make roughly $20/hr after gas expense. On Thanksgiving / New Years up to $40 an hour. Its cool because you never know who will get in your car. A bunch of rowdy drunks sometimes yes, but I've also met executives at top companies with who I had good conversation and networked with. The 30s/40s couple getting away from their kids always tip well too. Had a guy give me a $100 once.

I landed an interview at a top bank through referral of a previous uber passenger in fact and also dated two girls who I had driven home after exchanging numbers. Also had two guys headed to a concert that I was a fan of the performer and they had an extra ticket so they offered it to me for a free ride home after.

Free way to make a couple hundred in a night as well as the opportunity to meet people. Plus a lot of companies want your wage data. I submit my screenshot of wages for additiional $15 / week, takes 30 seconds.
