Although neither one will win it, the Brooklyn and Sacramento coaches deserve some recognition too (as of now anyway).

Both teams were supposed to be among the worst in the league, Sac is very young.

Yes but that is not as big a surprise as Nets and Kings, there was a lot of buzz surrounding Nuggets before the season.
But hey, it is only January, all these teams may level off the rest of the way.

Nobody even mentioned Toronto's new coach yet.
Im biased as a Nets fan. Being competitive with D. Russell, S. Dinwiddie, some young kids most people haven't heard of and guys you didn't know were still in the league. And already lost possibly their best player in Levert.

I’m always torn when it come to people I admire then discover their political beliefs. Guys a great coach, love his “interviews” but stfu with the politics. I’m a huge Springsteen fan as well, have seen him live over 50 times but can’t stand the guys position on things.

Raptors have player talent with the addition of Leonard. So it's hard to give the coach all the credit as this team was expected to be good.. Kinda like the Warriors, hard to give Steve Kerr any credit for coaching also with all the talent he has to work with.

I actually wasn't a big political guy.
But my wife, who is Hispanic (Mexican), and her 9 brothers and sisters, and parents, all were/are Trump supporters and got me interested election-year.
Let's just say my eyes have been opened to many things.

Spurs have 2 all star caliber players. Michael Malone or Doc Rivers are over preforming, neither of those teams had any real expectations coming into this year.

Seems a like you need a minimum of 50 wins to be even considered for the award now so I would cross off the 1st 3.

Which is exactly why I prefaced my initial statement with "Although neither one will win it...". That does not take away from the amazing job the Brooklyn and Sac guys have done so far though given their talent levels.

LOL what do you know about their talent levels? Has it occurred to you that you under-estimated these teams? People said the Brad Stevens did an amazing job with his talent level last season. Is he doing an amazing job with his talent level now? Maybe his not such an amazing coach anymore haha

COTY is just a warm & fuzzy/ feel-good story type deal that gives writers something to write about. Has no meaning in the grand scheme of things.

Didn't realize how prevalent it was. In the last 25 years, only 3 (not counting the strike season) guys have won with less than 50 wins.
