The Brewers are in agreement on a contract with free-agent catcher Yasmani Grandal, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic (via Twitter). It’s a one-year contract for Grandal, however, which pales in comparison to the four-year contract that was reportedly offered by the Mets earlier this offseason. Rosenthal adds that the deal is still pending the completion of a physical.

Grandal had a great post-season.
Brew Crew better pull in some pitching if they expect to take a step up.
No doubt David Sterns will make the proper moves to take another step forward.
He has done an admirable job since Attanasio brought him on board.
