I Was Wrong - Freddie Kitchens Is The Browns New Head Coach
The Browns decided to stay in-house. Or, more accurately, in the kitchen. On Wednesday afternoon, the Browns will formally announce the promotion of offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens to the head coaching position, according to ESPN.com’s Chris Mortensen (on Twitter).

Kitchens proved his value after an in-season promotion gave him the keys to the Browns’ offense. Under Kitchen’s tutelage, rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield thrived and became a legitimate contender for the league’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Easily the best move the Browns have made coaching wise in decades. He deserves this spot and is a real asset with the franchise going forward. His relationship with Mayfield was magical since he took over. They had a chance to actually make the Post Season which was miraculous.

Fukk took him to be Packers coach
Players seem to like the guy which helps , improved the Browns offense once he was input in OC role .
Although about whipped his ass when we were in High School , he was a smartass egomaniac due to being good at QB and baseball .

Although the Browns kept a key part of their 2018 late-season setup in place, promoting Freddie Kitchens to head coach, they are going to be looking for a largely new staff.

In addition to letting interim HC Gregg Williams go, the Browns are ending the Cleveland tenures of several coaches, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Among them are quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese, special teams coordinator Amos Jones, offensive line coach Bob Wylie, tight ends coach Greg Seamon and special teams assistant Josh Cribbs. The Browns, as could be expected, will ax linebackers coach (and late-season play-caller) Blake Williams, Cabot notes.

Expected to stay are wideouts coach Adam Henry and DBs coach DeWayne Walker, Cabot adds, with running backs coach Ryan Lindley — a Cardinals quarterback during Kitchens’ time as Arizona’s QBs coach — could remain as well.

This Browns team lost fewer games than the franchise had since its 2007 season, but the Kitchens regime will involve many new faces at the Berea, Ohio, facility. This should not be incredibly surprising, considering these assistants arrived during Hue Jackson’s tenure.

Jones finished his first season as ST coordinator, while Zampese took the QBs job last year as well. Seamon served on all three Jackson staffs, finishing his tenure under Gregg Williams. Wylie, of Hard Knocks fame, came to Cleveland in 2017 after a CFL stint. Known obviously for his special teams brilliance in Cleveland, Cribbs broke into coaching this season.

Also let go: assistant DBs coach Jerod Kruse, offensive assistant Bob Saunders, assistant offensive line coach Mark Hutson and quality control coaches Brian Braswell and Eric Sanders.

Surprising, KLC. Browns played well 2h of year.

Why not retain Williams as HC + name Kitchens Coach in Waiting? I'm guessing that was thrown out there and maybe 1 or both of those guys rejected the idea.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

head coach might be a little too much for kitchens he was just a running backs coach quite the jump

Wtf was he talking about today at the press conference...

"Some of these things I am using from the interview, because I truly believe it. The letter ‘I’ is a letter. It is not a word. When it is used as a word, you have problems. That is the No. 1 thing that you will not ever hear. It is “we,” “us,” and “our,” because we are all going to take ownership in this thing. You know what? It is going to make it that much more special when we get to the top. Two is one and one is none. We are going to have a lot of twos. We are all going to be together."
