CHEATING by contestants on covers.com

I'm guessing that several posters on this forum take part in some of the contests on covers.com. For example, the Ultimate Race, Survivor, and/or League Contests.

Is anybody else aware of the blatant cheating that occurs by some of the contestants?

Specifically, some contestants are able to select lines that have moved by several points, several hours after they moved off of that number. For example, using an opening line on a college basketball total, even though the current line at the time of selection is, say, 5 or more points higher or lower than the original line. Their selection is always in the same direction as the line movement that occurred.

I have closely observed contestants that do this by noting the time of the selection and what the actual line was at the time. The numbers often differ dramatically.

One of the contestants is actually a "covers referee/linesman" (and maybe has access to the line database?)

I have contacted covers.com on several occasions, and they have never responded......

Tried to introduce my allegation directly to them, but no response. Also deleting my posts....appears that they are aware of it but don't want to expose what's going on there. Since they are shutting this exposure down "across the street" ... was curious to see what feedback I might get here.

Probably a contest here tomorrow but you'll need to go Pro 100 bones to charity . It's the give that keeps giving since it pays for itself .

You're right, I'm thinking that this "referee/linesman" that is a blatant cheater is someone that "works for" covers. Also would explain the cover(s) - up and unwillingness to investigate my allegation.

To be honest the “expert picks” on SBR are a scam too, but at least you don’t have to pay to see them.
