Have you guys looked into allowing direct buy ins for the Main Event?

Say we have a field set, and then you open up 5-10 more seats, 5000 bet points each (or whatever) and allow the whales to get their seat without the daily grind.

Add the points to the prize pool of course.

My stats have the average time of 1500 stacks to finish at 70 minutes (not including the 5 min break) and 2500 stack at 105 minutes.

35 minutes difference is 35 minutes more sleep time for me since I play the last tourney.

Only because there was no promo. Once the 21st rolls around and you start seeing 40-45 players per tournament, these additional chips will really kick in. I'll be mostly playing the early time slot but I got a feeling it will be the most crowded of the three so I'm already bracing myself for some really late nights just to play against 30 nits instead of 40.

We really should have a vote on the 1500 vs 2500 thing. How about it Drew?

i I didnt think about that. Think there was maybe 30 the 2 ive played with 2500.

I sure as hell dont wanna make these things any longer than they already are thats for sure. At least with the lower payouts now

Haven't played lately didn't realize it was 2500, definitely in the 1500 chip camp. We have 50 days of tournaments already. Definitely happy they did this instead of world cup

I prefer the 2500 stack myself. Can usually take a hit early and still have a chance to survive (unlike the 1500 stack).

As for time, it only adds 15 minutes or so to the tournament. Not a killer in my eyes.
