Actually slipknot just posted something similar in the post above. With the fighter who got suspended for 2 years and other fighters who were penalized worse. What it all comes down to is money.

Which means if the UFC eliminated drug testing, some people would be better off (like that guy who was suspended for doing the same thing Jones is doing), while no one would be worse off

It would force every fighter to start stacking and taking steroids just like professional body builders do. Not necessarily healthy to stack and continue to take steroids year round and always.

Some fighters don't want to juice and those will fall far behind. Oh and steroids can make you agro and rage, these fighters are already on edge and temperamental. Just look at the pre-fight press conferences, someone is always throwing bottles or charging someone, weigh ins too. Throw juice in the mix and forget about it!!!!

You'll get a bunch of violent wife beating serial killers in the UFC

Was that stuff happening in Major League Baseball for all the years they didn’t have any testing?

The fighters who don’t use drugs are already far behind the ones who the UFC does allow to use

picogram metabolite found from last years suspension. Anybody who thinks Jon Jones would actually juice again after his previous suspensions if really really and I mean REALLY daft. He is not risking a) reputation b) millions c) chance at title rematch with DC to get busted. C'mon man. This is IMO a dead issue.

I will say this: Jon Jones is a bad dude. Wouldn't want to be Gustafson because kid is gonna get murked in the octagon in L.A

I think the exact opposite - if Jon Jones has been popped several times in the past for PED's what makes you think he will ever stop? Repeat offenders tend to repeat the offenses. Is what it is.. Looking forward to the fight.

Jones was busted 17 months ago. Turinabol has a biological half-life of 16 hours. That means whatever amount Jones had in his body 17 months ago was reduced by half 770 times. The only way he would still have a picogram remaining is if the amount from 17 months ago exceeded the amount of mass in the universe

                      (someone please correct me if my math is wrong: 1pg x 2^70 = 1g; 1g^700 = 10^510

Fight was so close last time. At 2.5 to 1 odds I feel there is plenty value in that play.

Yea because Josh Gordon did so well at his 5th attempt ?
You get these stars know they have preferential treatment right ?
Jones got less than Lawlor did on his 1st fail while this is Jones 5th failed piss test !
Things sound good in theory but people know if you murder someone and get caught , may be life in prison yet happens multiple times daily .
Jones knows he has the power and pull to get away with it , they just moved an entire fukkin event for him and him alone .

This is ridiculous...preferential treatment? The guy has had a target on his back the size of the one on Trump's for years. People are jealous of him, and will do whatever they can to throw him under the bus.

He did not fail a test. Easier to be judgmental that actually try to figure out what actuallu happened.

People following sports are the biggest group of douchebags I have ever seen...they want to hang a guy who has the equivalent of NOTHING in his system, the same exact thing that he already served a suspension for, to be banned from a sport in which almost nobody can claim that they have never juiced.

Meanwhile, the same fukks will be posting their NFL plays...just so you guys know, the NFL is the dirtiest sport in the US. Just put your head in the sand and enjoy the game though, right?

People love to hate something they could never be.

                                He's failed 4 test before . Did you say that after Test 1, 2 or 3 ?
My point was you can't get in someone else's head saying they wouldn't do it again .
If he feels he can , he will . It won't be up to you or I "thinking" he would or wouldn't .
If it stays in your system 18-24 months why the fukk setup a fight at month 16 ?
This wasn't Rocket Science yet you telling me they move this even for some mid card who failed ? Come on , BS , he would've got pulled and it stay in Vegas .

Suspending someone 4 years for a positive PED test is silly.

Athletic commissions are way too severe with their penalties and fines.
