#42LeBron slaps on a pair of fake glasses and thinks he becomes an intellectual, thought-provoking individual. The thing I find most entertaining about saying nfl owners have a slave owner mentality is LeBron will fire coaches, GM's, trade players, basically do whatever he wants with people if they don't get in line. LeBron has the biggest slave owner mentality of them all.Comment -

#43The NBA abd MLB players associations have kicked ass since the 70`s.
The NFL players association has had their lunch handed to them, time after time,
They actually pushed for the franchise tag, and we all know now, the owners smoked them on that one.
In life as in the NFL, we all make our own bed.Comment -

#58He is entitled to his opinion regardless if you or I agree with it .
Just as politics , I'm happy we don't all see or feel the same way , it drives division but only if you let it .
It's the same thing thinking the owner, being white , has all the power . It's actually split , the player has as agent , owners have GM's .
It does seem like he's pushing an agenda but he will own some sport team before it's over and done . So he becomes a slave owner ?
Being as I work hard as fukk daily , make 6 figures a year , it'll take me 30 years until retirement to make what 50% in sports makes in a year .
He will literally make 17 times what I do over my entire career vs 1 year of his salary .
So who is the real slave that he is speaking of ? But again , his opinion means the same to him , as mine to me .Comment -

#60Originally posted by grease lightninI know you’re smart enough to know the statement Lebron made here was downright ridiculous.
Slaves can’t quit and they aren’t paid. These guys can quit anytime and there are millions who would love to take their place.
It’s called a “business owner mentality”.
If the advancement of black people is really what you guys are after, looking like weak, entitled crybabies will not serve you well.

Every time he opens his mouth on political or racial issues his 2nd grade education shows up. This shit is starting to get really embarrassing. I wonder if this dumbass actually believes half the shit he says.

#64Wouldn’t really go that far. We did complete oppress the black race for a long time in this country not only push drugs into black communities, and planned parenthood and its genocide. look at every country in the world that is primarily black, and see the starvation that goes on, and it's not because whites are oppressing them
"we did completely oppress the black race" gimme a break... blacks collect more free food, housing assistance, etc etc in this country than any other group... i guess giving people free food, clothes, and shelter is oppressing themComment -

#68A lot of people were slaves in the Balkans and Middle East to the Ottoman Empire at the same time slaves were used in the Americas by Europeans. But you don't see them complaining all the time and asking for reparations and calling everyone else racists. At some point they need to get over it and find their own identity in the US and become a part of the society without blaming white man for everything that happened to them in the past. Eveyone has an equal chance to succeed in the US regardless of ethnic background. You see millions of people coming to this country and the vast majority start from nothing and make it better for themselves and their children through hard work. They do not blame themselves for being born poor.Comment -
