Every Florida team is a dog except Miami 3+ over Wisconsin. FIU won today, but will anyone else. USF, UCF, UF, FSU, ALL dogs and probably should be. Bad football in the sunshine state

Worse in ncaabb there are 10 schools!

UF, FSU, and Miami aren't fighting over the same guys UCF, USF, and FAU are. Biggest difference is schools from other states coming in and raiding Florida talent.

Also kids aren't as tied to staying close to home anymore. Back in the day, you went off to school and didn't see your family again until the holidays. Maybe you called them on a landline phone once a week. Now you can be in contact with them every minute of every day.

I just went through Marshall's roster and counted 30 players from Florida -- going to play in West god-forsakin' Virginia!! How is that possible?

it's not dilution of florida football talent amongst 7 decent florida programs, it's the top players leaving the state.

yup. florida, texas, california supply so much NCAA talent. florida especially....

i was doing mental math. there are about 11,000 players on ncaa football scholarship. if florida supplies 20% of the talent, that's 2200 players. 7 florida programs = 560 scholarships.... EDIT: looks like florida is 12-13% of NFL players. #1 supplier but some other big states beyond big 3. ohio and georgia.

it's a lot of things.... players leaving the state, dilution amongst Florida programs and probably most importantly the 2 big state schools drastically underperforming their recruiting success.
