One of the best betting tricks is to bet against a team that's on a hot streak. 5 games is a small sample size, and people will become obsessed with a 5 game winning streak rather than looking at a team's overall body of work.

I bet on the Heat on the spread and won. In retrospect I wish I had taken the moneyline to get a bigger return.

The lines are pretty much a 50-50 tossup. So for random pickers, there is going to be reversion eventually if they've been on a losing streak. So definitely be cautious fading someone who has been ice cold.
