Have to say though, INSANE high stakes poker. 50-100-200 was playing. Asian guy creates the game anytime in town, he lost 1M+ to the poker game last year there. Look over and he was rebuying for 5 stacks of orange (100k). Madness.

Sounds like sick action. I tried some PLO at my joint and it was juicy but I'll stick to NLH for now. Been significantly less poker for me lately as I've been opening up this recruiting business, should be done with the initial phases of that in the next few days then back to the grind and awaiting recruits. Should be a good deal.

Yes, the place with the biggest games, 5/10 multiple tables daily, is very expensive but worth it.
Most of rooms have $10 daily fee when you walk in, plus anywhere from $10-$16/hr fee. The biggest stake room in Houston was $16/hr. Others were $10/hr. 1/3 is lowest game and has 100-1000 buyin.

Also played a cool 25k guarantee tournament. 160+40 fee. With unlimited $160 rebuy and add on. Start with 20k, rebuys 20k, add one 25k so essentially it’s a $360 tournament ($160+$40+$160 addon).
Sadly bubbled 11th out of 88 people. Top 10 paid, $7500 1st, $750 10th.

Curious your thoughts actually on my bust hand. Blinds 20k/40k no ante, I’m short stack by far, average is 380k, have 200k. I’m in BB with K10ss, 160k behind. Folds to SB, loose rec, he completes for 40k, I shove for 160k more, he tank calls A5 off and holds. Bubble.

Do I check there due to ICM pressure or is the shove okay with 5BB effective? One other person of the 11 had similar stack to mine.

Tough one there. I think I check there and hope for a min cash at least.

Then again I'm a total T/A Cash grinder and not a tourney player, so I'm always going to give the conservative answer, lol. That's what guys like me do in tourneys - great chance at a min cash, but not much else.

Sounds like a cool tourney for sure but yeah being bubble boy sucks.
