Nightmare Scenario for NFL beginning to Unravel
Chargers - Rams Superbowl in Atlanta.

    Would anyone watch?

    Would the game sell out?

What would Goodell do to prevent this?

Remember his job is to make money for the league and he writes the checks for the referees.

          AND

The TV contracts are all signed for a decade

doesn't matter if all the players from every team except the Cardinals and Bills died tomorrow and the put the Cards and Bills in the super bowl

NFL still gets paid the same

I'd watch it. And bet on it.

The Chargers aren't even going to win their division, they have zero chance to make the super bowl.

Year after year, Championship Sunday is the far better TV day than the SuperBowl.

I hope Josh Johnson leads the Redskins to 9-7 and it's Redskins Texans. That could be even worse for the league lol

It’s a major holiday and an event not about the teams

                                Superbowl is international.

Doesn't matter who's in it, the hookers are flying in and they will have plenty of business.

The people who attend the Superbowl are rarely the fans of the teams playing unless they buy the tickets on the secondary market. Each team gets an allotment that is then sold to season seat holders that win the ticket lottery. I doubt those tickets represent more than 20% of the total tickets sold/given out for the game. The rest are given out or sold to corporate partners.

Since when does it matter who plays the SB? Always sold out and always has more ppl watching around the world than any other event or tv show. Nobody cares who actually playing. Both those teams score points so nfl be thrilled I’m sure.

Since when does nfl count on goofball fans? If they cared about them they would stop alienating fan bases by moving teams whenever they feel like it!

A lot of the former Chargers fans are on the Rams bandwagon. Todd Gurley does promos for the big SD sports station. It's pretty funny.

Chargers/Rams not happening in a million years. Your AFC champion will be Pittsburgh or New England and NFC champion will be New Orleans.

rams are not superbowl bound team. they have a lot of holes in their game that will not bode well in playoffs. Saints/Chargers is the most likely final

ironic....but if I had a dollar for every woman I've seen try taking another mans hard work, I wouldn't have to hide everything in my grandmothers name trying to make sure the same doesn't happen to me.

Nope, and they are going to have to pray that the Browns come out to play and beat the Ravens. Crazy to think that if the Browns win, they will end the season with a winning record.

Pitt is probably going to miss the playoffs. It matters not. The Patsies have a solid chance to be back in the Superbowl. Kansas City may have home field advantage, but Belichick over Andy Reid is about as close to a coaching lock in the playoffs as you can get. New Orleans vs New England in the battle of the great QB's. If the NFL wants a high scoring, exciting Superbowl, this is about as good as it gets.
