GAME OF THE YEAR

Reaves and Wilson were having altercations earlier in the game(and past games)..............officials were ready to dish out some ridiculous rulings and they did.

REAVES having a career year, scored another goal lastnight before being ejected.

The PLAYOFF DIVISIONAL races in the NHL are fantastic right now.

NHL at least 2-1 over any of the other three major sports.

Possibly the best venue in all of professional sports to watch a game at the present time.

With a Fleury shutout at home, tickets can be redeemed for a dozen donuts there................probably less than $5, so the freeplay at NYNY probably the better play although more volatile.

Off base?
The hit in Vegas was far less agressive than the one in Jersey.
Both were barely Off the Puck & neither were head hunters.
Even snowflakes like Gretzky & Bure could take a hit off the puck & both those guys were heavily protected.
No enforcers anymore, getting phased out of the league.
Let league minimum players cripple your star players & goalies with no recourse other than a 5:00 major & game misconduct.

The hit was 10 minutes late. Of course he should be suspended. Duh! It was blatant intent to injure. Dirty. That stuff has to be eliminated from the game.

NHL needs fighting and violence to survive

NHL got rid of fighting bc it doesnt serve much purpose. You can check a guy without killing him. The goal is to get the puck not take a guy out of the game. I'm kinda surprised you dont see more NFL players playing the ball instead of trying to "light up" a player with the hopes of maybe a ball coming out. NHL is the best sport start to finish, (as in regular season and playoffs...overtime playoffs is the best thing in sports)

You can complain about calls being a bit different, every hit is different, punishment can/should be doled out after the fact. But to say NHL is bad bc theres no fighting is just dumb. if you cant appreciate whats going on in a sport, why are u watching?

Also, JJ, the same people who want fighting in sports are the ones complaining about kneeling in the NFL, not hard to make a correlation

Nothing rivals the NHL right now in terms of sports entertainment..............blowing the other major sports away.
