Rivers having a great year.. Has the supporting cast finally around him and a defense to help him out when he gets sacked or throws the INT's which he still does at times..

i think he meant the offensive line/defense

gates and tomlinson do no good if you're getting sacked 49 times and giving up points on every possession like in 2012

They were 14-2 one year and choked in the division game to ne. That's what I was referring to. They had some good team's.

You give time for Rivers to pass comfortably in the pocket and he's as good and accurate as Brady and Rodgers IMO.. Rivers is proven when protected..

He never had a good Defense.. This year the Defense is top 10 in the league.. That's all I'm saying.. Chargers are good this year, Rivers is getting it done..

yeah it's interesting how people are perceived... rivers has never really been perceived as top-tier

take away the aaron rodgers super bowl win, or the brett favre super bowl win, and they would be thought of as chokers, even though most of those playoff/nfc championship games weren't their fault

Colts/Fins game -

Poor play calling by the Dolphins late.. Shouldn't have ran the ball on 1st and 3rd down backed up and then punt and lose the game with that much time on the clock..

Dolphins coach and OC play calling VERY suspect late in games.. Playing not to lose rather then playing to win..

Luck got lucky ducking under the sack.. That play ended the game for sure... So close to a different out come right there on that play.. I agree..

Rivers for years has always had way more salary than the rest of the team with the exception of 1 or 2 others. Hard to build a team around 1 player.

Rivers has never had a defense or decent oline...oline this year is the best I've seen in the Rivers era and defense has some playmakers but the linebacker play is terrible. Special teams are shit as usual.

2004 QB Eli 2 Rings - Big Ben 2 Rings- Rivers 0- He had a good teams with Gates and LT in there prime- don’t give me that crap he’s never got help - they were 13-3 in 2009 and lost 2 the jets in the playoffs 14-2 in 2006 and lost 2 New England at home in the playoffs

Rivers has been cursed with the worst ownership in all of sports, bad head coaches and terrible olines, kickers and special teams most of his career. Yes he had LT and Gates and Nate Kaeding missed every clutch kick possible during that time. Don't forget Marlon McCree intercepting Brady in the playoffs and all he had to do was stay down and the game is over but the idiot tries to return it, troy brown forced a fumble and you know the rest of the story.

he had 3-4 great years...again we circle back to nate kaeding missing every clutch fg possible. I have no doubt in my mind that Rivers would have at least one ring if he was drafted by a better and more stable franchise.
