Comparing banks and the banking system is a real stretch. Supporters of bitcoin can go on hyping it but most people realize its not worth much if anything at all. It was a fun ride but all good things must end.

Bitcoin is no solution to the problems Greece and venezuela are facing. They have much bigger problems and bitcoin will not help at all.

I've been using it since 2012.

What hassle? You can withdraw 24/7 multiple times per day from a sportsbook and have your money in 15 minutes.

The thing is that I've been hearing the same thing for years every time there is a dip and there have been some big ones. Using approximations, $30 to $2, then $1200 to $200, now $20,000 to $3500.

Disagree. XRP is a centralized utility token (not a store of value), and Ripple labs can create an infinite amount of it. Think of it like a company that is always at risk of dilluting its stock. Would you want to be a shareholder?

the restaurant employees at 95% of the places here are completely horrible, but i go there anyway because the pros usually outweigh the cons

Bitcoin maybe...Crypto as a whole is just getting started. Bakkt right around the corner, etf approval most likely in a year or less. Those two things alone will bring alot of institutional money into this game. I agree with you to a point that maybe "Bitcoin's" run could be over. However, there are several cryptos out there with big minds, big money, and that can do much much more then bitcoin could ever dream of. Those are just getting started... Eos, Xlm, Ada, Xrp to name just a few. These have big teams and big money behind them. I understand theres 2k + coins out there. Most are shit coins but the strong will survive and mostly thrive going into our future..

The value of currency is simply that its an (often only) accepted unit of trade...to be widely accepted it has to be a relatively stable unit of trade...can you imagine the folks at walmart running around changing bitcoin prices every 5 minutes or you thinking your new car is going to cost 5 bitcoin and 2 hours later it costs 8 or vice versa it would simply be too unstable to ever have any confidence in what its trading value is...currency's only true value is in it's relative stability and acceptability...the speculation on BTC is that it would "settle" to some value point lets say a million dollars a bitcoin and then be acceptable internationally...this would start with major retailers accepting bitcoin but despite being pumped up like a Dem candidate on the mainstream news this never happened (probably bc it's price was so volatile) but what did happen is ppl saw what happens when major players dump lots of bitcoin on the market it shatters the value bc almost no one was actually buying anything with BTC they were just holding it as a highly speculative investment so when ppl saw it go from 19k to 14k in a week everyone slams the sell button and unloads their bitcoins and sends the currency into free fall to below 4k today just as they sent it soaring slamming the buy button prior...the only thing that's going to send bitcoin higher at this point is if a major retailer starts accepting it and don't hold your breath

then i made money buying puts on riot (being negative) even while bitcoin was steady/rallying

just look at the bloodbath these stocks have taken, they deserved to be laughed at, so much of the crypto market is total fraud...

- lfin, high of 142.82 currently 1.33
- lbcc, high of 9.49 currently .16
- hvbtf, high of 3.55 currently .23

anyone that was bullish on the long-term potential of cryptos and bought any of those stocks has pretty much lost everything... and anyone that was negative and went short is sure loving life

Bitcoin goin lower everyday...folks must be tarded not to see that without the mainstream media pumping it 24/7 that it's goin to a million in 2 years this shit is worthless...true value is a couple hundred bucks and by end of next month that's bout where it will be...another advantage to "traditional" currency is that the companies that store it (we call them banks) don't normally just get hacked and have their entire deposits wiped out in 5 seconds and if your bank does get robbed its insured...must be nice to have had 100k in that Canadian bitcoin company that just got zeroed out the other day...they say sorry as their customers are chuggin loads under an overpass...who knows if they were complicit in the theft or not as there's ZERO regulation

the dollar is basically worthless too compared to 250 years ago. the point of bitcoin wasnt so ppl could speculate on price like it has turned into. it was made so that it wont inflate like other currencies and lose all its value in the long run and also in theory wont be able to be controlled by governments who want to tell you what you are allowed to spend your money on. even if bitcoin hits $200 it is still a giant success.
