Need help with the Northwestern/ Illini game..............
Does Northwestern need this win for anything? They are still playing for a title regardless if they beat the Illini right? I can't see how they lose this game unless they rest their players if it only means Illinois pride. Shouldn't NW pound them?

Northwestern is in the big ten title game regardless of whether they win or not, but a loss would hurt Northwestern in the rankings and impact what bowl game they play in so its not a meaningless game.

I am having a hard time figuring this line out.. I am a die hard illini fan since 1980..... I just can't see them hanging in this game... .the ML should be around -2000 I would think.
