You have a couple minutes to edit, but if you don't edit in time, it will clearly say that it was edited along with the time it was edited.

There are new rules regarding edits.

You can edit your posts only if you are changing the word "humankind" to, uh, something else.

I'm pretty sure you have 24 hours to edit a post or at least we used to unless something has changed recently but like Kermit said unless you do it immediately it'll show when you did it. That's how people get caught out trying to change their plays after the fact.
