Can anyone explain "action" rating in BTP?
Can any SBR staff clarify this?
I had thought the BTP and other contests rated "action" as a sum of odds, with the
lower odds receiving more "action", and the greater odds receiving less. For example
if one selection is -115, and another -105, there would be a higher action rating on the -105.

This cannot be true, because I just noticed that mncosoldier and I are 1st and 2nd in Week 11
currently, both at 5-0. He has an "action" rating as 87.5, and I as 53.0, so he's in first.

Looking at the odds taken for both of us, mine were lower odds bets, a total of -656
as compared to a total of -668 for mncosoldier. If his choices were greater favorites than
mine, how does action place him ahead?

If odds do not determine "action", and its such an important rating, what does determine it
and how can we game for it?

action points. how much you beat the spread by

If you pick a spread of -7 and the team wins by 14

    your action points are 7

if you bet a +10 dog and it won by 3

    +13 action points

congrats on the week by the way

and I don't think the action points change the actual finish order as a tiebreaker

you'd get the same amount of payout as Mcno

ok, btw - another takeaway here is that odds mean nothing in the contest
for example might as well pick a -120 not a +100 as there is no difference
          unless it's a loss.
