You would think that this is a no brainer, but WMU has gotten blown out in it's last two games by a total of 38-110 and both of those games were at home. Ball State is not much better, losing their last 3 by a combined score of 47-139. This is strictly a degenerate game. Pass.

Agree this is a double digit win for WMU. Actually increased bet size after looking at it more trying to get a read on O/U. I have watched most MAC games this season. Will post a quick write up and post tickets when I get home.

Line movement hasn't given much to go on except the Western Michigan is getting the majority. Open -7.5 in most places. Currently you can get -8 most places however I'm seeing -9 also.

Both teams are on a losing streak. Luckily that streak ends for one of them tonight in the conference matchup that happens to be senior night for Ball St. If you look at in conference matchup W. Mich. has performed much better and is still in the chase for a bowl appearance. However, both these teams are now missing key personnel so the intraconference comparison holds less weight.

W. Mich. will be without its original QB. New guy now has two games under his belt. However not impressive games at all. Ball St is also starting a guy with two games under his belt. Who has also been unimpressive, arguably worse than even WMU.

This turns to the run game where Ball St. allows 215 yards on average. WMU coming in slightly better at 185 allowed on average.
Both teams will be running the ball keeping the pressure off these inexperienced QBs. The problem for Ball St. is their starter James Gilbert is not 100%. Although listed as probable, a back injury may be easily aggravated should he have to carry the load for his team. Which is likely with backup RB Caleb Huntley out for tonight.

An early lead will be the key for either side here. Forcing their opponent to use their backup QB in the passing game, both which seem to be turnover prone. Western Michigan has played below par for the past couple weeks. When they are clicking they are up their with the best in their conference. Ball St. has failed to impress during any game earning three wins while completely healthy. One against a cupcake Central Connecticut. One against a weak Kent St. One against a winless Central Michigan team by 1 point.

We have to take the team that is proven. The team with a better run game. The healthy backfield.

Game time weather projected 30 degrees. 10mph wind. Just enough to make your hands hurt. But not a huge factor.
