Columbus Blue Jackets, right now +100 at Bovada/Bodog.

Florida is one of the teams i like to fade, especially in certain situations like returning off a road trip. Florida also has a bad habit lately of starting poorly and giving up the first goal (or two).

Also like that Columbus played like shiit Friday. Blue Jackets are a good team and coach Tortorella will have his team revved up and ready to go a day after laying an egg.

Line is -127 at Pinny and I'm on a worse number (-140) at BoDog. When I saw 5Dimes had Toronto -170 I figured I should bet quickly at BoDog to avoid getting a worse price. Oh well, if it cashes I'll still be happpy.

Home team is 10-1 in this series... Toronto also 0-4 at Florida. BOL though.

I watched both games Toronto played against Fla. In Florida Dec 15 Toronto came out very flat and were down 0-3 heading in to the 3rd period, they came back down 3 goals and tied the game late then lost 4-3 in OT. In Toronto Dec 20 Toronto absolutely put the boots to Florida and won 6-1.

Leafs are a young talented team, on paper much better than Florida. 2nd night on a back to back is actually an angle I prefer for a young skill team vs the team sitting at home for days. 0-4? So what, unless one is expecting 0-100 then 0-4 means nothing and sounds like football analogy rather than hockey.

The way I cap is simple, I'm always looking for the more motivated team, the team most likely to be firing on all cylinders, and then i consider who is the better team and other angles. I'm talking spot plays here.

When posting a play there is always another side and always stats to back up both sides of a play. I bet on what I know and have seen for decades in the NHL and do well at it.

edit, also 10-1 for the home team also means little to me except getting a better price on the visitor.

Also, I've posted almost nothing but winners in this thread and only a couple guys have noticed.

Yeah I got bad numbers compared to what is available now. I thought betting early was the correct move, but I was wrong. I'm pretty sure Toronto is the correct play though and that is more important right now as my bet is locked in and I can't do anything about the price. Actually, I'll bet a little more on the puckline at +200.


Don't worry about Toronto on a b2b, they are young and the second game doesn't worry me, FLA on the other hand returned from a road trip and have sat around for a few days, I still like Toronto a lot, they are pumped after beating Tampa last night and the fun continues tonight in Miami.

The Florida Panthers have lost seven consecutive games, and their next opponent brings little cause for optimism that the streak will end.

On Friday night, the Panthers will host the Toronto Maple Leafs, who on Thursday knocked off the best team in the NHL with an impressive 4-2 road win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Panthers, who are 0-5-2 during their skid, have yet to win a game in 2019.

They just completed a five-game road trip during which they were outscored 23-9 while picking up just one of 10 available points.
