It is for me, already was leaning this way. If he were to get hurt the ONLY other QB cant grip the football.... lots of bad things, even if he comes out and lights up Oakland, the 9ers D isn't what it use to be and Carr could easily go with him in a shootout

Beatherd has been serviceable,not like he's been getting blown out the last two games.Guess they want a shot at that first overall.

The kid looked good in preseason. With a short week the Raiders defense will probably be similar to the ones he saw in preseason too. Mullens barely gets any reps though so I bought Raiders 1H ML.

Yeah raiders Is the play. The kid isn’t getting reps, they’ll be in checkdown mode. And no backup on the roster lol

Beathard cannot grip ball properly due to wrist injury, he is active but would have a bitch of a time passing if called upon in an emergency. Not sure why 49ers released Savage, at least he has started before.

I remember Mullens from Southern Miss. He had 38 TDs as a Jr and 24 as a senior. He has more talent then Beatherd imo, but its also his first game. From what I understand Beatherd will be active and can play if Mullens is hurt or just completely melts down.

I guess it could effect the Over in a bad way, but this is the Raider defense after all? Not to mention if the kid throws a pick-6 or fumbles at his own 10 yd line....i.e...rookie stuff then thats good for Over.

Personally I've bet a little more then what I needed to with this game. If I can get back in 5D then I might hedge Under 48.5 or something and pray for the middle. I still don't see Oakland as a big play on the side. They suck and their D can't stop shit.

When you are given a shot not everyone tanks.. Some come in slinging and get it done under the big lights... Maybe the kid makes the best of it.. This is his chance to make a splash in the NFL anyways...

not sure about how good a head coach shanahan will be, but this guy can create offense. matt ryan should ship him a few mil for getting him that contract. jimmy g as well. beatherd is about as good as nathan peterman, but with shanahan he is serviceable. this guy knows how to work with a qb strengths and weaknesses better than any coach maybe ever. mariucci was pretty good at making bums look better also.
