#3If you’re a laker fan, this is where he probably ends up (I think wolves are being patient waiting for LeBron to get frustrated with young guys and get magic to send one to Minnesota) but you don’t want this to happen. It’ll waste the LeBron years or be a wasted rental.Originally posted by JIBBBYI'd love to get him in Laker land playing with Lebron... He's a good player, proven all star..
Butler is resting back to backs early to not get injured for possible trade and becaye he didn’t have a training camp. He’s still on the wolvesComment -

#15An aging player taking a lot of falls, with nagging career injuries, who’s either going to be a rental or going to have to give him the max (in the nba with terrible cap structure) where you’re paying him into his mid 30s 40 mil a year. With the warriors a lock for this year, taking a rental doesn’t make a lot of sense, and the other alternative kills your future.Originally posted by JIBBBYJimmy getting no love in this thread.. Now add that he’s quitting on his team, and causing a circus as a B+ player, hard pass unless you’re a team in a market that has trouble attracting free agentsComment -

#16Lakers have to make a move of some sort, otherwise it will be a wasted year for James. The idea of Butler being a rental in LA is laughable -that's precisely where he wants to be. He will take less than the max because he wants to win.Comment -

#17I think the Lakers overvalue Ingram, and should part with him. I've disliked him since I saw him play his first SL game. Only good thing he's done in his career to date is have 1 or 2 good games against Durant -granted a good player to play well against...Comment -

#19really admire how Jimmy overcame a TON of adversity and came into the league as an afterthought and worked hard to better his game. what an over achiever, got to root for him.
BUT man, the stories you heard about Jimmy here in Chicago were nuts, guy is a top 10 all time locker rooom/clubhouse cancer in all sports. in chicago terms its Milton Bradley+Brandon Marshall personality issues
guy is a certified nutcase and can't get along with anyone. He'll never last anywhereComment -

#20I have no issues with Bulter demanding a trade. This has everything to do with Towns and Wiggins not stepping up and being better on defense and serious about winning a championship. When Butler doesn't play their defense is non-existent.Comment -

Agree though, Ingram should go before Kuz. If they could part with ball instead, would be a win. Would probably have to add in KP to match salariesComment -

#23Regardless, unless they get butler and one more guy this is a wasted year for bron. They aren't beating golden state. Could almost argue from an analytical standpoint not putting the pointless miles of a deep playoff run this season on his legs might help in a couple years when warriors break upOriginally posted by IBetYouLakers have to make a move of some sort, otherwise it will be a wasted year for James. #28Klay ain’t leaving Gstate. Why would he go to LA to chase rings? He will have more rings than Lebron after this season anyways.Originally posted by ikid2groove415Lakers can add a guy like butler then add Klay Thompson in the offseason - 2 Good perimeter defenders 2 play with Lebron that can also score
Butler sitting tonight for rest. He will play vs Gst unless he gets dealt before then. He said he is sore and doesn’t want to get injured. Wolves owner doesn’t want him to get injured either.
Why Philly doesn’t offer Fultz, Saric or Covington and some picks for him is beyond me.Comment -

#29Him staying on at a reasonable price is not a bad option. Maybe you're right about the Warriors being a LOCK. #34You'd have to be a Warriors' fan to believe they're going to keep that core intact. Why do you think Cousins signed there at a discount? He knows there's a fair chance Durant or Thompson will leave for LA or elsewhere, and he will slot into the cap space.Comment -
