Their resumé's are comparable. Sure, you could make the argument LSU is the better team.

However, we cannot all of a sudden say 1 loss versus 0 losses means nothing. This used to be the crux of many a playoff or BCS ranking. Now it's just like The Pre-Season polls all over again - a popularity/beauty contest.

UCF has ZERO chance of making Playoff, it is just a sad reality that non-Power 5 school will never make the playoff as long as it is 4 teams. And Ohio State will get in if they win out, but then again, that would not be considered "squeezing them in".

Committee would give a Rat's A about strength of schedule ( they didn't care last year) and what is more, is that even though Bama seems to be historically good this year, the same would be true if they were 20% worse.

They talk about the strength of a 4 team playoff is that every week is like a playoff game, but it is it? Really. They get to decide which losses matter, what teams to reward for winning big most weeks, but losing the one tough game on schedule. This thing has gotten away from us. Has to be switched to an 8 game playoff.

It could happen. USC should have their freshman stud QB back. He has been out last two games. Rivalry game at home for the Trojans and they seem to have a thing for playing their best ball when it no longer can really help them.

Northwestern and Syracuse won't be easy either for the Irish. Their schedule is just a really solid one, to be honest. Jessie Palmer said a week or two ago, they should be in, even with a loss. That seems doubtful without a lot of help.

If you REALLY want a 8 or 16 team playoff........ you should be rooting for Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Notre Dame to make the playoff. 3 SEC and Notre Dame would mean 4 Power conferences get shut out...... and then, you will get immediate action on playoff expansion.
