Thai billionaire owner of Leicester City FC dies in helicopter crash after PL match.
A helicopter belonging to the owner of Leicester City Football Club burst into flames after crashing in a parking lot next to the club's King Power Stadium in Leicester, England, about an hour after the match.

Leicester City FC have confirmed that their owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, died when his helicopter crashed outside the stadium. The Thai billionaire and four other people were killed on Saturday evening. Stunned Foxes fans have been gathering to pay tribute at the club's ground, where thousands of bouquets and scarves have been left. Mr Srivaddhanaprabha took over Leicester in 2010 and saw the club pull off their incredible Premier League title victory in 2016.

Very very sad. Surprised this wasn't posted on here before now. Massive news... so far he seems to be the one billionaire associated with football who isn't hated or has bad things said about him online for one reason or another.

I would venture to guess he never read The Black Swan. Sad, sad news.

The team responded to the loss and paid tribute to Srivaddhanaprabha in the following statement: "In Khun Vichai, the world has lost a great man. A man of kindness, of generosity and a man whose life was defined by the love he devoted to his family and those he so successfully led. Leicester City was a family under his leadership. It is as a family that we will grieve his passing and maintain the pursuit of a vision for the Club that is now his legacy."
