The manager can only do so much, he's not playing the game. Look at the Lakers, you could put a pylon on the sidelines and the result would be the same. Rosters win championships, not coaches. Not saying coaches aren't important but the better the roster, the less the coach matters. Coaching matters more when the team doesn't have any talent. The players on that team have to look at themselves in the mirror. Look at the Astro's, people call them cheaters, they were down but they made a series of it and fought every game, the Dodgers look soft to me, mentally weak. All flash, no grit.

Nobody can make you do something you don't want to do or are not willing to go 100% all out to accomplish. All the coach can do is bench guys.
