Rumors are going around the Philly area that he has connections with some of the higher ups with the Eagles. He is also meeting with Michael Vick to talk about second chances and adapting to society. I believe he will be on the Eagles at least as a backup by the end of the year. If there was a line on this I would bet it. He is in the best shape of his life.

He is getting at least a try out with them , that is a guarantee. He has already met with the front office and Michael Vick is mentoring him.

I new a guy that was a guard at Central Prison in Raleigh. Said they bitched him out pretty quick. Baby killers and prison don't mix well.

18 years is not enough
Adams was shot four times while driving her car but managed to make a 911 call that helped implicate Carruth.
Adams fell into a coma and died less than a month later after the shooting.
The child she was carrying, Chancellor Lee Adams, was delivered by emergency Caesarean section but suffers from permanent brain damage and cerebral palsy.

i don't care how long someone has been in prison or how much they have "changed." if you had any direct contact in taking someone's life, then you need to pay with your own. whether that means life in prison or the chair, your ass should be DONE.
you don't get a second chance, much like the person's life you wiped off the planet doesn't get one.

Rumor is Jerry Jones traded a first round pick for Carruth and the rights to QB Paul “Wrecking” Crewe.

So you don't believe in redemption and forgiveness? So someone drinks a few drinks at a bar, doesn't think he's drunk but kills a family driving home should be put to death for doing something stupid in a moment where he wasn't coherent?
I believe in coming down on habitual criminals but there's many people that messed up ONE time and were rehabilitated back into society.
I get your point though. Sometimes I think we should cut off people's hands when they steal or cut off the nuts of a rapist. But if you step back, we ALL were just one step from fukking up one time in our life as well. "All have sinned"

easy there MAC.....planned murder and a drunk guy veering off left of center are (2) different things...but if it ever premeditated, gone forever in 1 way or another IMO.....

PaperTrail - NC has very clear sentencing guidelines. Carruth didn't pull the trigger. Watkins did. The other guy in the car with Watkins got out like 5 years ago. Carruth had no priors and no problems in prison. He actually spent more time in prison than someone else committing the same crime. His high profile name/case made him serve more time (about 5 more years) than most other felons.
Now, should we let murderers ever get out of prison? That's another conversation but the judge has to follow the guidelines, they don't have a choice.

We had a guy here in Houston that was here illegally from Mexico. He killed a teenage boy a few years ago while drunk. He got released and deported. A few years later he killed a couple while drunk here in Houston. He served like 2 years and got out and deported. Just a couple years ago, he killed a family of 4 here in Houston while drunk once again. Are you telling me that his crimes aren't worst or at least just as bad as Carruths? They're both fukked up and if I was the family of either case, I would want to put a bullet in both of their heads. I'm not trying to absolve Carruth, I'm probably more firm when it comes to crime but our system is pretty clear on sentencing across the country. The sad fact is that you can kill someone and get out of jail quicker than if you killed a dog or a bald eagle or some other shit. Michael Vick would have probably gotten off with no jail time if he was fighting young boys, fight club style instead of fighting dogs.
Our laws are sometimes fukked up, especially with guys raping women and young boys. They often get slaps on the wrist, when i think they should be hung and shot on live TV.
It's hard to say what is premeditated. If you use a gun, isn't that premeditated no matter the situation? You bought the gun for protecting yourself but once you use it, you already determined that you would buy a gun to use it for that very reason. Carruth could have been drunk in a bar or at his house and got off the phone with his baby mama arguing and Van Watkins could have over heard him and said, "I'll take care of it", show me where she lives. Next thing you know, they are committing a drive by. Is that really premeditated? I'm not so sure. I wasn't there. I don't know Carruths mental state at the time. She could have pushed him over the edge or he could have been a calculating psychopath. She could have been the salt of the earth and just a wonderful person that didn't deserve to die but she could have been a devil. I don't know. All I know is that Carruth fukked up, served his time and we shouldn't determine vigilante justice on our own because we don't know what happened and why.

Should murderers ever get out of prison? How about thieves, rapist, etc.? A lot of things are wrong but what should be the punishment? How long do you punish someone for their crimes? Is every murder the same? Should we treat it the same? Should Carruth have been given the death penalty? I really don't know. I thought he could have been innocent when I saw the trial years ago. You probably think he should have been killed. The public will always have varying opinions, which is why the states determine sentencing standards. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes their hands are tied and the sentence doesn't seem right. Only God knows the truth in this case.

Guy is cold blooded and lacks empathy.. Human life means nothing to him and he took one and almost another unborn infant in his scheme to murder plan..
He should be locked up now and so should OJ.. Both cheated the system and got out early for their horrendous violent first degree murder crimes.. No way either should be walking free today..
In all honesty both should have received the death penalty and should be dead today if you ask me..

He did it. To think or say otherwise is just stupid.
