Tough loss for over bettors

This was one of those games where you hate to see a huge blowout even early in the game if you are on the over. I had a bad feeling about it back in the 3rd quarter.

The o/u was inflated by 3-4 pts due to people loving the over with these teams so the game actually landed right where it should have. Dude falling down for no reason was pretty suspect though.

just sportsmanship and them being told not to score. pretty simple actually. bengals should have put 21 up and KC should have had 10 less. game should have went over, bengals just sucked hard.

That year was amazing. Every game the total was like in the 60’s and la tech would get 42-49 by themselves. I remembered when they played navy in the bowl game. I bet the over pregame and then as soon as I watched the first drive I bet the over in play and team total over. It was the easiest 2k I ever made. Neither team had punted midway thru the 3rd qtr lol

Well I don't think it was fixed in that way. It's as someone said above how they were "instructed" not to score. Whether that was sportsmanship or someone involved wanting it to stay under, I don't know. But the players are not getting paid to do this is my point so there wouldn't be any whistle to blow on their end after the fact.

If you are instructed not to score, then why not go down immediately after picking up the 1st down? Why run an extra 20 yards with so much time left?

To pad your stats naturally - that's very important to folks. And of course you may simply run on instinct and remember the instruction later.

Im not buying they weren't trying to score. If that's the case just start taking knees, no need to actually run plays and potentially get guys hurt.
