49ers gotta be tanking for draft picks...that was literally the worst defense I've ever seen knowing that the only way the Packers could even get into FG range was to throw to the sidelines with 0 timeouts.

The Packers were +500 live when they punted it back to the 49ers down 30-23 with a little under 5 minutes left

It actually didn't matter, because that was on 3rd down anyway. If it had been ruled incomplete, it would have been 4th down, they would have punted and probably gotten the ball the same spot or even better spot

Me too...it was completely retarded to even run a play with 6 seconds and no timeouts. I guess Rodgers knew he was going to throw the ball away but I'd still not risk it.

Vinny wasn't the kicker vs Saints SB and backup missed a big ass 50 yard attempt in the 2nd half. Defense couldn't stop anything after halftime as Freeney's effectiveness playing thru injury went away after the long halftime stoppage... Mathis a no show. Colts had bums all over the secondary all of 2009.

McCarthy has done that before. He didn't want to kick off. He wanted to end the game with the FG, Risky because bad snap and they can't kick.
