For my 30th Bday. Heading out with the wifey tomorrow morning. Weekend filled with blackjack for her and sports/booze for me.

Where's a good spot to get a dinner? Any decent books? Most likely will place most my bets online though.

The Steakhouse at Harrah's is the best in town

Most of the major hotels are under William Hill Sportsbook except Atlantis and Pepprmill.

They give free drinks while you play slots and table games. For the sportsbook area ask for a drink ticket when you place a bet.


Lots of good restaurants depends what kind of food you want- classy or casual?

Peppermill, Atlantis , Silver Legacy have nice steakhouses and seafood places.

if you want casual - bunch of resto nearby the river.

if you like like happy hour- try El Jefe / Kanpai at Circus Circus - good drinks, good appetizers.

if you want cheap beer - $1.50 16 Oz. Buds at Cal Neva. Breakfasts starts at $4.99.

so it really depends what floats your boat.

Only place I like to gamble there is Hard Rock, other than that there is not much choices plus the hotel rooms there are expensive, unless you get a VRBO house to rent which are not cheap either.

not sure if you are into clubs , but Grand Sierra Resort and Peppermill have decent ones.

If you cross the street from Harrahs, you have Silver Legacy, ElDorado and Circus Circus, they have live music also there. have a fun birthday, bro!

Brasserie St. James is a hip spot for food/drink in Midtown. You can walk from Harrah's.

Golden Flower is a solid late night asian spot near the Silver Legacy. Eat in or take out.

CinCin Happy Hour at El Dorado has nice strong cocktails and solid appetizers. Good looking girl often behind the bar too.

Love the Micro Brews at Brew Brothers in the El Dorado.

If you can escape the wife, head to Little Waldorf near campus. Wonderful young college girls at night.

Reno is tremendously underrated.
