    RIP Tex Winter
RIP to one of the sharpest basketball minds of all time

One of the most-respected coaches in NBA history passed away today.

Tex Winter, the NBA coach credited with creating the Chicago Bulls’ and Los Angeles Lakers’ unstoppable triangle offense, has died. He was 96.
The legendary coach was a Bulls assistant from 1985-98. He was on the Lakers’ bench from 1999-2008.
Winter, who played at Oregon State and USC, also coached at the collegiate level. He had stints at Washington, Kansas State, Northwestern and Marquette.
The basketball community is certainly mourning his loss tonight.
