Cards have had quite a few late bloomers like that come up through the system. For life of me can’t remember name of last guy who did it awhile back then went on to play for several more teams and hit 20-30 bombs a season for 4-5 years(shit on tip of my tongue, lol)..

Pham really late bloomer too, injuries and his problems w eyesite held him back for longest time, love guys like that cause they play w a chip and usually hardest workers on team!!

Lol, they play 9 innings and fact oak was using pen from beginning made it likely we saw late runs. Nothing backdoor about it. I liked my chances when it was 2-0.
