Great job by Seattle holding on to a guy who was going to walk on them this year.

#7Bingo. One play can end your season and sometimes your career. That's why as a player you try and get a long term deal and guaranteed money.Originally posted by kingdomand thats why leveon isn't playing for the franchise tag boys and girls.Comment -

#18Greedy? WTF are you talking about? These guys put their fukking lives on the line every Sunday and you think they're greedy trying to earn what they're worth? Have you seen ex players years after they play? Guys are committing suicide because of CTE. Most guys can't even walk right. They spend 4 to 5 years in the NFL then spend the rest of their lives with debilitating injuries.Originally posted by Rich BoyThese guys are so fkn greedy him and Bell get what they deserve
Do you think the owners are greedy, making BILLIONS of dollars off the backs of these athletes?
Thomas reported and look what it got him. An injury in his last year. Why do you think Bell is holding out? Do you even know football? You obviously never played nor ever looked at a fukking NFL contract.Comment -

#20Why would anyone side with the owners instead of the players? It's the slave mentality indoctrinated from very young.
Yes you signed a contract but your value goes either up or down. If your value goes down, you get cut and you're sh!t out of luck. If your value goes up, you ask for more money. Most NFL contracts aren't like NBA or MLB.
Bottom line, ALWAYS side with the players. The billionaire owners are the enemy.
Personally, I think Le'Veon Bell is smart for not playing this year.Comment -

It is an investment decision. And any wise investor doesn’t make their decision based on the past. But on the future.
Bottom line is, if they pay a guy 70 mil guaranteed who can have his knee blown next week... it is charity. Plain and simple.Comment -

#34Every athlete's agent is trying to get the most they can for their client that's their job, also the agent will take home more its a no brainer. As a player you should be "greedy". I don't consider it greedy at all though. NFL is worst league for athletes since much less guaranteed money deals. Every year we see good players getting cut or waived because the teams don't have to keep paying a player. Careers are short, when you retire at say 35, if youre lucky to have played that long, you have the rest of your life with no income coming in other than a pension who wants to have to work after they've been a pro athleteComment -
