already 100k without power and the flooding will be bad, lots of people don't have flood insurance because it's so expensive lots of families will lose everything this is not going to be as gentle as u think

the sun is out in wilmington nc. whole thing is a joke. yes it's a normal run of the mill hurricane. no big deal. people out and about like normal. some residual flooding.

watching the fair and balanced fox right now. sun is out on carolina beach, n.c. not a drop of rain falling. they are desperately searching around for damage and saw a garbage can rolling around and a tree branch. reporters are smiling and laughing. most over hyped storm in history.

First responders in North Carolina are scrambling to rescue residents stranded due to raging flood waters caused by Hurricane Florence.


Officials in New Bern, a coastal town in Craven County, North Carolina, said at least 150 people were "awaiting rescue" early Friday morning as the dangerous hurricanemoved ashore, packing 90-mph winds.

Cincy places along the coast and eastern nc flood every year doesn't take a massive hurricane for that to happen. I'm not saying the flooding doesn't cause damage because it does but in those areas this kind of thing happens regularly so of course they should know to leave. Overall this isn't some mega storm of the century like it's been hyped up to be and people outside flood zones have nothing to worry about but instead spent a ton of $$$ of supplies and stuff that they won't end up needing

it's always been like that, news stations hype up the hurricanes, i think it's a good thing most of they don't live up to the hype, better to prepare and not be so bad than take things for granted then things get really bad
