Square plays are plays where the "public" is very heavy to that side (the exact percentage is debatable, obviously).
There is very little reason 80% of the people are picking the same side when a game is lined pick em. Ideally it should be somewhere around 50/50. If it is around 80% it is more than likely a square play.


I like to look at Streak for the cash as that is more square than Covers Consensus (probably).

Considering teams that are up 14 at the half win the game 91.6% of the time (since 2007, 178 games), I don't really think one should be too optimistic (you do have a 8.4% chance based on "recent" history)

I picked the ravens tonight and was wrong but I posted up this thread to promote discussion and logic I saw some of both on each side and I failed to pick the correct one.
