Years ago I was making $450 dollar bets and I accidentally hit an extra zero.

Lost $4500 on one play while betting $450 units, that's losing ten bets in one shot.

      Mistakes cost money.

My friend bet 5,000 on the clippers series against jazz two seasons ago in playoffs. I bet the jazz. We argued about it for a couple days prior.

When he left the book, about 15 minutes later he got a different line then was posted, so we went back and realized the guy at MGM gave him a ticket for 5,000 on the clippers to score the first 15 for game one. He corrected the ticket.

Clippers were the first to 15 in game one, but lost the series in 7. 😂😂

My biggest bet of all time was giants vs patriots in the Super Bowl. Bet the pats for $500. We know how that worked out.

800 Phillies vs Padres. I was sure the Padres were a lock. I made the call to bet(my entire account) them. When I got off the phone I kept hearing the word Phillies in my head. I thought, did I bet the wrong team? I was so worked up about this being a win that I couldn't even remember the call or what I said. So, I called them to ask what my bet was. They told me Phillies. I was so surprised I asked to hear the recording. They wouldn't let me cancel. And of course the Padres won easy

Years ago I was betting NFL playoffs Denver Broncos vs Baltimore ravens I meant to bet 70$ on broncos first quarter and i hit 700 instead. Manning came out hot but of course flacco threw a bomb at the end of the first q to tie the game and I lost. That was the same game Denver lost with a bomb by flacco @ the end of the game. Lesson learned I always check my bets twice after submitting

4 years ago I thought I found an arbitrage opportunity between the Marlins and the Giants. After I bet it I realized I bet on 2 games on different days. Had Giants game 1, if I win this one I know I will break even because they were the favorites... I won. 2nd game I had the Marlins, break even if I lose.... but I won that too. Won over 1 bitcoin combined, BTC was worth about $600 at the time

I know, I know.. the Arb probably would have only won me a few bucks but I was willing to take any opportunity I had at the time to win money.. so I was stoked being an idiot worked in my favor

Meant to bet on the 1st half under in a Florida basketball game, but accidentally took the over, and won, as Teddy Dupay hit a turnaround fadeaway from well beyond the 3pt line just before half-time.

Adding that extra zero is a shitty feeling. I had hundreds of bets at 450 then one random one at 4500.

Even so, no luck getting the book to cancel.

I was trying to make a $65 long shot parlay at nitrogen and after a decimal mistake, it was a $650 parlay. And this was when bitcoin was worth $200 something. I recognized the mistake immediately and begged in the chat for them to cancel it but they didn't, even though the first parlay event was hours away.

I work on such small margins and arbs that I can't recall a mistake (good or bad) that compares to some of these stories... Ive talked myself into bad bankroll management bets plenty of times tho, both winners and losers that I can't recall

$1500 2 years ago when I NY Mets road moneyline at -110. Well i was supposeto take mets but accidentally took yankees road moneline. those two games were listed back to back and i wasn't thinking. Odds were same on both teams. The outcome didn't matter because both mets and yankees won that day. I didn't even notice the mistake until at the end of the week when i copied all the bets to spreadsheet. That was the biggest.

But there were two incidents where I accidentally bet the wrong side of the spread. Both incidents were bets of $500 and change. IN one occasion it won (the correct bet would have lost) and in the other occasion it lost (correct bet would have won).
