PI's are part of the game in football now. You just expect a call every other pass. I think it's a good call but it is too prevalent in football for my liking.

Who's teaching kids to play corner...turn your head you did the hard part and got in good position to make a play.

Agreed. Think there should be two levels of this. Been saying it for years. Intention PI just to not give up td that are super intentional and obvious spot fouls everything else just 15 yards.

Lol I wish half this thread had to cover a guy with 4.4 speed with a step on you, and just turn around. It’s not nearly as simple as the announcer and this thread make out. For jump balls in the end zone sure, sometimes, for safe routes where you’re busting your ass to keep up with the guy not so much

A rod does this couple times a game. Surprised more teams don’t do this. Especially on those 3rd and 26 scenarios where they dump it off and punt, just chuck it deep if he picks it it’s a punt, maybe a catch maybe a Pi

Exactly it has to be good timing and have to stop on a dime and not tun into the receiver. Hard to do.

It can be. There’s a lot of reasons why it’s not. You don’t know that you finished the hard part. Skilled receivers can give a look as a double move etc that first one that was PI he was there way early and should’ve gotten his head around. Second one that guy was in a full sprint to catch back up, has no clue where the ball is, and hard to turn and find while also covering while running that fast

Yeah with a pass rush like the rams have, corners need to be up covering that underneath stuff. This team shouldn’t get beaten deep much with Donald and suh roaming
