Frustrating watching them go from Bobby Bowden glory days ( he built the program) to this massive drop that we see so far this year . fyi Jimbo was never FSU HC material. Stage too big for him.

Not sure how you say that. The guy brought FSU back from mediocreville and made them 100% legit again. His winning percentage was off the hook. I wasn't pleased the way he left but I will also give him respect for giving us several relevant years again.

Jimbo was given the remains of BB recruiting. He could not ever duplicate what BB did. He was given the job as a default being frim the BB regime.

They havent recruited or coached the OL very well. FSU is loaded with talent, but they went from an offense which runs about the slowest pace in Jimbo's to an offense that runs the fastest. I'll give Taggart more than 2 games, but he's not off to a great start.

The program was slipping toward the ladder years of Bowden anyway. they were losing recruits left and right to Alabama and a few others. When Bowden became too old to coach is when they started slipping.

True. i was watching Scott Frost last night and wondering how hard it is the first year to play with inherited players including qb. You have limited time to teach guys foreign to you a complete different system than what they are used to. Texas and Minnesota are good examples as well. I doubt those guys just forgot how to coach. just not an easy adjustment. Texas is second year in and still struggling.

this is a great point......... and i will generalize it. it seems like there are all sorts of problems with coaches inheriting players/systems that don't fit what they want to do or the role the players came to the school for..

i would further note that florida gators have now had issues with at least 2 coaches in a row.. gotta give mullen time but yest's loss was bad

if we took the top 10-15 college programs, how many have had problems with new coaches in the last 5 years? has to be 6-7 of them (maybe extend beyond 5 years)......... i wonder if these coaches are set up to fail

Georgia, Clemson, and Alabama didn’t immediately win. Ohio state did, I think. OU did but they kept the same system.
