O/U on Steelers-Browns holding steady at 41. I dunno.... that seems *awfully* high to me given that, you know, they're going to be playing the game in a monsoon.... I know 41 points isn't out of the question during a sloppy game, but I sure like the chance of an under here....

Considering it was at 46 earlier in week I would say people do pay attention to weather forecasts.

Weather is the reason this total has dropped 6 points since 47 opener.

Game will go over. Weather or not both teams fully invested in showing the other up offensively. Haley wants to beat his old team and Big Ben wants to show Haley held him back. Without Bell Steelers will probably throw more as well.

I would have agreed 100% to this statement about 2-3 years ago, but it's very important now. It's important not for wagering but for my sanity with all these damn rain delays in football. Wasted 2.5 hours of drinking at happy hours waiting for Friday night college football to start. There should be an o/u on weather delays for tomorrow games.

Depends on the weather and reaction to it. Often times you can get a ton of value in a over after folks pound a under because of weather!! Wind is the only Mother Nature attribute that directly kills points.

It really does depend on the sport but I disagree with much of this thread.

Weather is not played out. Weather is not irrelevant.

In fact, weather can be calculated into a forecast and because so many ignore the factors, it alone can separate some handicapping techniques. It is not always correctly built into the line.

It's not the information, it's how you use it.

It really does depend on the sport and the NFL is useless, so few games.

Weather, along with how you use it in discipline and money management separates the men from the boys in sports like MLB and NCAA Football; especially over the last few years.

Like I said, it's not the information, it's how you use it and how you are able to incorporate it into a line or number and to this degree, weather is very relevant and not at all played out.

This is likely because the general public pays little to no attention to the weather until it makes mainstream news.

You have to have good info, that' for sure, and understand that there is a long haul but over time can be successful.

Lol. That is a excellent point. I never bet on forecast until I see it on the field day of game. Mf’ers round here barely know what it like outside right now much less days from now!

Wind, the most important factor, is surprisingly reliable when your dealing with high winds or not.

Even if the winds slow down or don't pan out, which is rare, NCAAF Coaches may have prepped for a windy game, altering the game plan just enough.

Sometime it's not what's happening right then, it's what was anticipated to happen at the time of preparation that counts.

Of course, beware of changing weather and halftime adjustments...lol.

Changing winds are more rare, but that coach preparation can be important.

One last thing, coaches, players, etc change almost yearly, but the weather and the effect it has on everyone, including the markets, doesn't change.

There is value in that knowledge.
