Since the ad, Nike increased popularity between 13 and 34 year olds by 19 percent and 6 percent, 18 to 24 year olds. The companies stock is up ~5% in the last week and it just got several upgrades. Great move...

I just think its funny is all. I am going to Houston next week and will be buying 3 pairs of Nike runners for 2 reasons. I like them and its almost impossible to find size 13 runners in Costa Rica.

That Louisiana city just banned Nike products from city funded promotions and public facilities.

I think this is going to really backfire.

We'll see in Jan when 4th quarter sales come out. They lost 3.5% in market cap after announcing this, then picked it back up (however that's just ahead of 3rd qtr earnings so irrelevant), I'd be surprised if there wasn't a 15% sell off in Oct/Nov and a $10billion + dollar loss here.

The marketing itself is alienating everyone except 16-25 yr old black males.... who are unlikely to drive revenues in a substantial manner anyway.

They are trading at 70 x's earnings

As a company it's over valued

I'd look for a 15- 20% dip, at min, after 3rd qtr earnings

Then 1st qtr 2019 we'll see the real impact
