He was below average before the injury. This year he's due a non-guaranteed $5M as a back-up but if he were to play all 16 games as a starter he'd likely earn $11.5M. He's not cheap as a back-up and he's probably not good enough to start. He's potential trade bait for a playoff team that loses its starter in the 1st 4 weeks.

Then again Keenum was mostly a back-up until last year. Things change. Bridgewater will have to prove himself, and that's tough to do in preseason.

Bridgewater would be a serviceable starter in a place like Denver right now. Don't know why the Jets would want to trade the guy when he gives them a better chance to be competitive than D'Arnold at least early on in D'Arnold's career. Trading him when he has value does have its merits though so it'll be interesting to see where he winds up.

Obviously injuries have really slowed his development. Who knows if he can even stay healthy for a full season?

Darnold will be the starter in ny. Jets can get at worst a 3rd round pick for teddy when another team loses a qb or admits their guy is bad.

No way. Better than avg NFL QB. For different reasons Jets lucky to have all 3 of their QBs. Quite a change from the Geno/Sanchez/Tebow battery.

Teddy is a starter, but he's not accurate- don't be fooled. And his deep game is terrible.

He's probably better than 5 other starters, certainly Bortles... frankly I thought Dallas would take a look at him in case Dak n Dunk went sour this year.
