I know it's preseason but if you can't tell the Browns have some playmakers then you need glasses. Also Mayfield looks damn good already. That TD strike to Calloway was a thing of beauty. If him and Calloway can stay out of trouble, this offense is going to be dynamite.

I actually hated the pick at first because I was listening to all the "experts" who were all negative on him. I was also a bit scarred from the Manziel fiasco, where I wrongly assumed Mayfield was a JFF clone. Then when I studied film on him, looked at his accuracy, studied his stats and his overall control of his teams, I agree with you. He just has it. He's a special, special player. Look at how he made several reads tonight. He went through several progressions to find the open man. None of our QBs last year did that. His poise in the pocket and the way he slides and moves his feet was also impressive. This was a very impressive outing for him.

Oh, Tyrod looked fukkking legit as well. You can tell that he is just giddy with all the weapons he has on this team. The OL was trash for the most part tonight, mainly because of injuries. They couldn't run block for shit. But they should be ready by the beginning of the season. The Browns finally have an NFL starting QB and what looks to be an incredible backup.

Not at first because I was watching too much TV and listening to espn. I love the pick now. Mayfield is totally legit. I think Mayfield is going to be a superstar in this league. He has a personality about him, a presence that is infectious. He'll learn behind Tyrod then take the team to another level down the line (hopefully a couple of years). Mayfield will be the QB out of this class. Several other teams were putting out false information on Mayfield, hoping he would drop to them. The Browns finally made the right choice. I haven't been this excited about the Browns since the return.

I know, I know. Hell I think we went undefeated last preseason.

I'm trying to temper my expectations but I'm loving what I see. I know the Giants offense would suck with Webb out there, so I'm not sure about our defense but I think we'll look much better on that side of the ball, especially with DL depth. Ward also looked good tonight. I love his chippy attitude (even with the stupid taunting penalty). The offense can't help but look better this year with decent QB play. Tyrod made at least 3 throws tonight that NONE of our QBs could make last year. I forgot what a back shoulder pass looked like. I forgot that you can look off your receive and I don't remember the last game a Browns QB went through 2, 3 progressions. I didn't see any of this last year. The Browns actually look like a football team.

Garcia was a damn good QB. Pro bowl 4 times. Multiple playoff games. He followed up 2 legends in SF in Montana and Young, which is not easy to do and had to play alongside dumb ass TO, that use to bash him mercilessly. Garcia had a lot of moxey to not crumble under that stress. His career took a dive coming to Cleveland (like most QBs) and then Detroit but he still turned it around late in his career. The Browns fanbase is one of the best in any sport. We fully understand how hard it is to survive in the NFL. We understand you have to take baby steps. If Tyrod and/or Mayfield can get us playing quality football, we will applaud them. If this franchise can turn it around and actually make a playoff game, we'll have a parade. It doesn't take much to make us happy. We would print a banner if Mayfield makes the pro bowl 4 times.

They're going from worst to first baby. The Browns were not as bad as their record was last year. They could have easily won 6 or 7 of those games last year IF they had average QB play and better coaching. Kizer lost 6 or 7 games all by himself. Hue lost 2 or 3 on top of that with WTF clock management/play calling. The Browns led at halftime in the majority of their games. Kizer is gone which is addition by subtraction. Hue is the unknown. Can he wake the fukk up and coach competently? If so, we're looking at a team competing for the Central. Tyrod is already the best QB the Browns have had in almost a decade. Baker the 2nd best. We've had some horrible QB's the last few years. Everyone knew it and basically gave up. You can see a new attitude on the team. For the first time the offense can actually move the ball. The QB can actually make a throw, can look off defenders, can go through progressions. This team is loaded at the skill positions, especially WR and TE.

There's always one guy that is wired tightly. Passive aggressive type that is always ready to explode on anyone. A lot of defensive coordinators seem to have this trait. Absolute nut jobs that will ream you a new asshole if you don't go through a brick wall. I like him. I think he's going to have this defense play with a huge chip. This is the best group of coaches the Browns have had in a loooong time.
