No one is disputing that Mcgregor didn't get what he deserved. He got his ass kicked and we all loved it. But you must be new to the fight game if you think what he says is something unusual. Ali used to not only talk about an opponents religion but he would tell fans that Frazier was an uncle tom, which was one of the worst things to say about another black man during those times. Ali said later that he was trying to sell tickets. Frazier took that shit to heart. It happens all the time in the fight game. You talk yourself up and try to get into your opponents head before the fight. Mike Tyson (not a real good example here with his ear biting) would defeat an opponent at the weigh in with his jawing.

The key piece here is that Khabib went into the crowd. No one can defend that stupid shit. Once you go into the crowd, all bets are off. Anything can happen including you getting stabbed or hurt by enraged fans. You put yourself, the UFC, the venue at risk of being sued by people being hurt in your moment of stupidity. You now have amped up the level of security at an event where paying customers are already liquored up. Vegas police were on high alert all night. That means more police have to be called in to work, which means more expenses. Khabib is a dumb ass, no matter how upset he was, you don't do that. If Dana White had to make a choice right now on keeping McG or Khabib, we all know the answer to that question. You don't kill your cash cow. Khabib should have taken the win and graciously embrace McG as he put on his belt. That would have garnered much more respect by the buying public and maybe raise his stock in UFC. and I'm 99.5% sure that White did not stage this because it puts his product too much at risk. If several people would have died in the melee, the entire UFC could be at risk. He would have to section off an entire area with his own plants to do this correctly. Too many dignitaries were around. White said this was the top 1, 2 and 3 worst things he's ever seen in a ring. He was not happy at all. I don't think it was staged.

staged the announcers knew immediately what was happening, who it was, who was in the crowd, also announced and knew Khabib team members were jumping in the ring and hitting Conner (why could that not been a psyco fan, like monica Seles attacker??) they knew who it was guys in hoods? , what side they were from, and said it all out loud as it happened.
