Glasnow is still a good prospect and has big league experience. Not sure how hes been in the minors but could be a solid contributor next season.

he was an amazing prospect with video game like numbers in minors as a starter

very wild and a bit of a fragile head case in majors. some pretty epic melt down starts in the majors, and starting to maybe turn the corner as a mid reliever.

if he settles down and gains some confidence, change of scenery, new pitching coach

guy could still have a huge ceiling. very tall and lanky. Remember it took Randy Johnson a long time to figure it out too.

glasnow was unreal at triple a, but really struggled in the majors.

kinda feels like the pirates gave up on him IMO

pirates have an outfield surplus, so someone was expendable if they were going to make a big move (meadows)

pirates have done well with AL east pitchers, so im going to hope they are right about archer

archie is right, he was much better in relief than as a starter in the big leagues

So we gave up Glasnow hes super very overrated good in minors not so much in pros thus far he still got years before hes going to be something if he even is. I like it

haven't seen the PTBNL on the Pirates Kela deal with Texas earlier

Cole for 15 more months vs 4+ yrs of Joe Musgrove, 5 more of Colin Moran, plus Jason Martin tearing it up on farm, which I would venture helped make the decision of letting go of a guy like Meadows a little easier.

where did that get them?

oh wait.

fact of the matter is, that the ONLY way scrub market teams like the Pirates can compete is if their prospects pan out and they get lucky with some trades and scrap heap buys....and they have been enough for the past 5 years to get them competing way more than they did for 2 decades.
