Buster Olney expects Bryce Harper to be traded today
It seems the Indians are among the favorites to land him if they are willing to part with their top pitching prospect Shane Bieber, who pitched last night in Minnesota.

As long as he doesn't go to the Yankees, I'm fine with it. Where do you think he goes, if anywhere at all ?

          Makes little sense

His projected stats are like 17 hr and .260 rest of year

Could call MN and get similar in Logan Morrison or Dozier for a fukken 'L' screen as opposed to the price for Harper

Getting a very good pitching prospect is way better than keeping Harper for the future

I doubt he gets traded, really bad look for nats to do so (even if realistically they out of it they can’t let fans think they have given up), can’t imagine they could get all that much return for what the fan blowback would probably be, just don’t think anyone would be offering a huge package for a absolute rental (who wants to pay what I’ve heard agent thinks he gonna get?) who has never carried his team to any playoff success??

One of the most overrated players I’ve seen in a long time. He’s not a winner.
No way the Tribe gives up Bieber. On a similar note, their outfield is horrendous though.

He will go to Yankees next season.

No way he gets traded. He wouldn’t bring back much for only 2 months, and the Nationals have an easy schedule down the stretch they could get hot.

Word is they had a deal in place and ownership said no.

You would think they would check with ownership before even discussing deals though.

That kinda why I never thought this trade talk was anything but bs banter for the talking heads. Obviously the fact I can’t imagine anyone giving up a whole lot a big deal but even more importantly it just not a look I think they want to present to the fans. I’d think there no way they could net the return to make up for the fan blowback on them giving up on season, best pr move to keep him and then make a offer to sign so they can say they tried. Perception and profit far more important to most owner than actually winning.
