Harvey is 6.90 ERA in his last 3, mostly because he got hammered for 8 against the Pirates last time out.

#20Giants pen is no slouch either. San Fran pen has a .671 ops against, milw .675. Giants hitting .250 as a team w a .705 ops, milw hitting .245 w a .722 ops. Wouldn’t say brewers are better.Comment -

#28under has some appeal, prob 1st 5 more so than game. My only real concern here is both pitchers making consecutive starts vs same team in less than a week and I dunno about you but I find these situations a little tougher to cap.
Mikolas has been lights out sporting a sub 2 era at Busch this season and also been good during the day. His game in wrigley last week he wasn’t great but as been typical for him even tho he wasn’t on his A game he still was able to grind out 5 decent innings allowing 2 runs keeping cards in the game. He was only around 75 pitches but got pulled for a pitch hitter as cards had several guys on base and 2 outs (I thought it was a terrible move but could benefit him here as cubs weren’t able to see him another time thru the lineup). He pitched a brilliant game vs scrubbies here in stl back in may
(7 scoreless innings in a win)..
Quintana 0-3 w 4.50 era w this ump but the poor numbers came from 1 bad outing, he has pitched 2 gems with Gibson behind the plate and Gibson hasn’t been favorable to home teams at all. Quintana 0-2 at Busch this year but has only allowed 2 earned runs, errors hurt him in 1st game only lasting 4 innings, then only 5 innings in the other where he allowed 2 earned runs. He went 7 strong vs us last time out but he did walk 4 guys and was aided by a strong wind blowing in, so he went 7 innings only allowing 2 runs but cards had 6 hits and 4 walks so the baserunners were there, just another typical cards game where they couldn’t come up with a big hit when guys were on the bases!!!
Cards have been getting a lot of baserunners on since returning from the asb, their 3rd in mlb w a .360 obp. They put up 12 hits vs Montgomery but couldn’t muster any more after cubs pen came in., Their slugging isn’t as good but they did have the misfortune of several the wrigley games being played with strong wind blowing in. Dejung exit velo is starting to get back to levels of before his wrist injury. Cleaning house and dumping bunch of these overpaid gas cans in the pen may have sprung some life into this squad!! At minimum at least we don’t have to dread seeing the Holland’s, Cecil’s, Lyons of the world. We can only hope gregerson isn’t high on the list of guys who will be coming into games! We have all these young studs, it’s time to use them!!!
Maybe I’m being a homer (think most ya’ll would agree I’m pretty fair when evaluating cards even if I do hope for best! Lol), but I think there some value on cards at the short price. Cards ml -112, 1st 5 under 4 ev, and under 8 for game.Comment -

#29Cubs/Cards pretty split in the marketplace.
I see runline pressure on the Cards and, from what I've been told, St Louis is in quite a few parlays today.
The books are also getting some liability on the Under, but not really showing it in my opinion.
They may be forced to by game time.
Pretty split a no play for me.
Waiting for last hour info, I may take the Over, even if I don't get the best price.

Speaking of totals I think we see some runs put up in Colorado today, 2 pitchers that don’t miss a lot of bats, neither induces much soft contact, and both give up hard contact upwards of 40% of the time. Seems like a recipe for a slug fest in the mountains.Comment -

#32So much room for bettors to take that Under 12 in Colorado.
It is a tough one because I see more tickets on the Over, but more money on the Under. It triggers RLM, but just in the price. The books split here, but it feels and looks like sharper money has gravitated to the Under.
Sharper money does not always win and I don't think the books have tried too hard to protect the Under side in the face of that money.
That's what I see here.Comment -
