I really don't like that price. Almost every major UK book has them at -162 or better. It's also hard to see the price shortening over the remaining weeks of the transfer window. If you're going to bet Man. City i'd wait at least a week or 2 until 1 of the other teams makes a big money signing that changes the market. I'd also point out that staying on top has been harder than getting to the top. No team has repeated as Champions since the 2007/8 Man. Utd team repeated in 2008/9. You'd be betting into a 109% market on the top 6 if you took the UK market price and Leicester have already shown you can't totally ignore the big outsiders. You're also tying your money up for 9 months. I really don't like the bet, but good luck if that's what you decide.

If you could get +150 against Man. City retaining the title then rightly you'd be all over it. Unfortunately books tend to go with high juice on multi-outcome futures like this. Man. City's main 5 competitors are priced around +500, +600, +900, +1100, & +2500. It's not in a book's interest to offer you a combined price, (which would be around +100), as a -179 +100 market would more obviously show how much juice they were working with. If you can find a book willing to do that at this early stage then the true break-even market position would be around -130 +130. If you can find better than +130 then take it.
I'm not a Man. City fan so i'm hoping the true line is nearer -115 +115.

-170 or -150 is bad price either

Unless Ronaldo signed with ManCity and not Juve!

Bad odds. Prefer Juve, Celtic, Bayern and Barca in a parlay

Following their convincing 3-0 win against Cardiff, Graeme Souness and Alex Scott discuss whether Spurs should be considered title challengers and if they believe the club can keep up their form for the rest of the season.
